- Are you sure that USR changed the registers in upgraded ROMs for
- Sportsters? PnP Sportster and old Sportster are absolutely different
- modems. They have different architecture. Old Sportsters 28800 are
- based on two processors: Intel 80C186 (or 80C188) and DSP, like Courier.
- New Sportsters PnP are based on one TMS processor only which has
- different instruction set. I think (not sure, of course) that old
- Sportsters with upgraded ROMs have the same registers as they had before
- upgrade. Also I believe that old Sportster will not work with firmware
- from PnP Sportster 33600.
